Inaddition to the effects of the product on body weight and relevant parameter ofblood glucose management (HOMA-Index, fasting blood glucose, fasting insulin),its effects on blood lipids were tested in comparison to a leading commercialmeal replacement product in overweight pre-diabetics with a body mass index(BMI) greater than 29. The product will be offered as a powder blend, as tablets(fortified with all essential nutrients) or as a functional food ingredient forbeverages, dairy and desserttype products, according to the company.
