Hoodia Products 3Q Sales Jump
November 14, 2006
DUBLIN, Calif.—Hoodia Products International Inc. (OTCBB:HDIA) reported a 126-percent increase in third quarter net sales, compared to the previous consecutive quarter. Sales for the quarter ended in September jumped to $42,078 from $18,652 sold in the second quarter, which ended in June. Sales for each previous month of fiscal 2006 were actually higher than previously reported due to a shopping cart software error that led to faulty accounting. Year-to-date, company sales are $72,291, which it says keeps it on track to meet its expectation of $100,000 for 2006.
The company (www.hoodiaproducts.com) reported it is actively pursing additional distribution through Internet and retail channels, and continues to expect strong quarterly growth. “Overall, we’re pleased with the quarter,” said Jacob V.O. Mullins, chief executive officer (CEO). “Demand for real Hoodia gordonii continues to increase, and we are dedicated to creating a brand that is the signature product in this very lucrative industry.”
