EAST WINDSOR, N.J.—Sabinsa will soon introduce ForsLean Soft Extracts, a high purity vicious paste of coleus extract to use for weight management.

The supplement, extracted from coleus forskohlii, will be available in 10 and 20 percent extracts, and they are manufactured using no residual alcohol. While powdered forms of the product are prone to contamination, Sabinsa’s research has led to a viscous form ready for softgels.

“We’ve expanded our coleus cultivation program with farmers throughout India and ramped up production, including upgrades to our facilities to help with the intermediary steps," said Shaheen Majeed, Sabinsa marketing director. “We’re prepared to make sure that serious marketers can have access to Sabinsa’s coleus ingredient in order to ensure consumers have the real deal."

Sabinsa has warned consumers about false forskolin products sold through spam emails and websites that have popped up after a Dr. Oz segment, which implied forskolin creates a flat belly with no exercise. Mehmet Oz came before a United States Senate Hearing last month because people have used his messages as unofficial or false endorsements on fake products.
