Industry award to feature outstanding women, ICSB and more SupplySide partner updates
SupplySide's Karin VanSlyke highlights a new award to honor the achievements of bold women in the wellness space, as well as updates involving the International Conference on the Science of Botanicals, National Animal Supplement Council and Sonoran University of Health Sciences.
The Council for Responsible Nutrition (CRN) is partnering with Radicle Science to establish the Trailblazing Woman Award, the nutrition industry’s first award to honor the achievements of bold women in the wellness space. The annual award will recognize a woman who has shown brilliant leadership, mentorship and commitment to the industry. Nominations are open through Sept. 13, exclusively for CRN members. Recipients will be announced in October and will receive a $2,500 grant, a feature in Fast Company, as well as have the opportunity to appear in webinars and talks organized by Radicle Science, CRN and their partners.
The 22nd International Conference on the Science of Botanicals (ICSB) will take place April 15-18 at the University of Mississippi in Oxford, Mississippi. It features speakers and attendees from industry, academia, government and the non-profit sector. The event is supported by the National Center for Natural Products Research (NCNPR) at the University of Mississippi and Food and Drug Administration (FDA). The National Animal Supplement Council (NASC) annual conference will be held May 21-23 in Palm Harbor, Florida. Sonoran University of Health Sciences introduced a new Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling degree program, with the first cohort to begin in October 2024. The program provides training on essential requirements for licensure and certification, and it incorporates evidence-based integrative mental health care, including nutrition and mindfulness.
