NattoPharma, Package All Corp, Ingredientsonline.com, Daane Laboratories, Viva 5 Corporation and others announced new partnerships and expansions of their businesses/organizations.

A new trade association, Coalition for Supplement Sustainability (CSS), combines many companies that focus on establishing and maintaining sustainable, independently verifiable and transparent standards across the entire supplement supply chain. Members of the newly formed association include FoodState (MegaFood), New Chapter, Garden of Life, Capsugel, Deerland Enzymes, Rainbow Light, Country Life, RFI, Ethical Naturals, NOW Foods, Natural Factors, Naturex, UAS Labs, Nutralliance and others. The immediate focus is to collaborate with third party verifiers to create a credible Non-GMO standard specifically for dietary supplements.

In addition, Nattopharma announced Mercola, a health education company offering premium products, selected the company as a preferred supplier partner. Not only has Mercola included NattoPharma’s MenaQ7® Vitamin K2 as MK-7 as a featured ingredient in the Dr. Mercola Premium Products line, but the two companies have combined their resources to educate consumers about the clinically validated health benefits of Vitamin K2.

Package All Corp also expanded its western operation by opening a new distribution center in Casa Grande, Arizona. The 45,000-sq.-ft. facility boasts an expansive packaging inventory for the OTC pharmaceutical and nutraceutical industries, joining PACKAGE ALL distribution centers in California, Florida and New York. The Arizona location will exclusively serve the southwestern territory.

Daane Laboratories, a boutique contract microbiological research laboratory and environmental monitoring service provider for the food, dietary supplement and cosmetic industries, joined forces with Ingredient Identity, a preeminent regulatory management consulting firm to guide the company through a rapid growth initiative while ensuring compliance needs across all services and client programs.

Announcing multiple new partnerships, Ingredientsonline.com, the industry’s Global Factory Marketplace for nutritional raw materials and other fine ingredients, teamed up with BBFY USA, the sales agent of Sunshine ® Citric Acid and Tiger® Biotin. Sunshine® Citric Acid is a major Citric Acid brand in the world, produced by Sunshine Biotech, a Thailand manufacturer with capacity of 60,000 metric tons per year. Tiger® Biotin is produced by Anhui Tiger Biotech, a GMP certified Chinese factory. Ingredientsonline.com also announced its partnership with the mineral manufacturer Penglai Marine and DHEA manufacturer Gedian Humanwell.

Finally, Viva 5 Corporation, a US-based probiotic specialist, partnered with Mitsubishi International Food Ingredients, a specialty ingredients company, to develop and help commercialize the proprietary “Immuno-LP20" ingredient in gummy delivery forms. “We are very excited to team up with Mitsubishi Ingredients, and are equally impressed with their commitment to high quality, science-based products," said Brian Baer, president of Viva 5.
