Colorcon Acquires Chr. Hansens Excipients Division

WEST POINT, Pa.Chr. Hansen sold its Excipients and Coating Division to Colorcon. The transaction includes the product lines of coatings, compressible sugar, compressible calcium carbonate and sugar spheres, as well as the production facility in Stoughton, Wis. Chr. Hansen divested the business to concentrate its expertise on developing and supplying cultures, dairy enzymes, natural colors and flavors to the food and nutritional industries.
