VANCOUVER, Wash.A recent peer-reviewed article in Experimental and Molecular Pathology noted ProImmune's Immune Formulation 2000 supports the immune system by activating the Nrf2 gene. Nrf2 stimulates 250 immune boosting genes, making the ingredient's effects widespread in the body.

Scientists at Drew University of Medicine and Science, Los Angeles, conducted the research, which spanned multiple years. The article also cited research by University of Texas Southwestern, UCLA and University of California, Irvine.

ProImmune received a U.S. patent, entitled "Nutritional or Therapeutic Compositions and Methods to Increase Bodily Glutathione Levels," for its Immune Formulation 2000 in August 2011. The formulation is a Glutathione precursor that replenishes bodily Glutathione to support a healthy immune system. "Metaphorically speaking, the Glutathione pathway of Immune Formulation 200® activates the immune system like a city power grid station which ignites or electrifies a city's lights," the company said.
