At a Glance

  • Today—Thursday, Oct. 26—the finalists are judged in three fire categories.
  • Active nutrition, microbiome, nootropics are the categories at play.
  • The audience can cheer their favorites during the People's Choice Award part.

Who wants to be a star? Just like on real TV, the Ingredient Idol contest might be the most fun you'll have in Vegas without wearing a feathered boa.

Three finalists in three hot categories—active nutrition, microbiome and nootropics—will give three industry judges their elevator pitches and then get peppered with follow-up questions, all to see which recently launched ingredient (after Jan. 1, 2022) is named the best in the business.

Ingredients are judged based on innovation, scientific merit and market potential.

Finalists are:

Active Nutrition—

  • + ADM: Active Lifestyle Blend

  •  CK Nutraceuticals: CardiaSlim

  • Suanfarma Inc - Monteloeder: Metabolaid

Microbiome—

  • Nature's Crops International: Ahiflower+DHASynBalance: Synbaective DefensePlusNXT USA, Inc: Digexin

Nootropics—

  • BioActor-Solabia: BrainberryMicrophyt: GamePhytNutraland USA: Miricell

The finalists each get 3 minutes to give the judges their elevator pitches for what makes their ingredient such a standout success story. The judges will take 3 minutes for follow-up questions. Will there be bribes? Will there be singing? Will there be catcalls and huzzahs from the audience? You're going to have to come to the SupplySide Stage and find out for yourself!

And we raise the fun to a fever pitch with a special People's Choice Award component. When the judges huddle up to confer on a champion for a hot New York minute, the assembled throngs (i.e., YOU) will have an opportunity to weigh in with their favorite. Loudest response wins this award!
