SupplySide East events will inform, WUWS Secret Garden Party plans to delight
Karin VanSlyke offers a sneak peak at SupplySide East events (and other partner updates) ranging from an April 16 education session on animal nutrition to a What’s Up With Supps’ networking event that same day benefiting Vitamin Angels.
Jennifer Gornnert from NASC (National Animal Supplements Council) will be a featured speaker at SupplySide East’s “The state of animal nutrition: Insights for 2024 and beyond” taking place on Tuesday, April 16 at the Education Theater from 12:30 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. This session will cover critical topics such as recent shifts in AAFCO (Association of American Feed Control Officials) pet food label modernization (PFLM), innovative functional ingredients for animals of all types and sizes and the key health concerns they target, as well as trend forecasting and best practices for avoiding recalls.
WIN (Women in Nutraceuticals) will host “Substantiating products for women: Building trust through science” on Tuesday, April 16 from 1:45 p.m. to 2:45 p.m. at SupplySide East’s Education Theater. Topics include formulating using branded ingredients, requirements for clinical trials for women, and how those claims are regulated.
Join What’s Up With Supps during SupplySide East as they host A Secret Garden Party networking event, benefiting Vitamin Angels. On May 9, at 11 a.m. PT/2 p.m. ET, AHPA (American Herbal Products Association) will be hosting online “AHPA Talks: Good agriculture and collection practices.” This free event will provide information for growers, ingredient suppliers and manufacturers of all sizes on implementing and documenting best practices. This informal, open discussion will be led by AHPA members and staff who helped create these GACPs and is part of the new AHPA virtual education series.
