PTI Launches SolaeBranding Program

ST. LOUIS, Mo.--Protein Technologies International (PTI), a DuPont business, unveiled its new Solae consumer branded-ingredient program to food companies during the Institute of Food Technologists' meeting and expo in New Orleans in June. The first product, 8th Continent soymilk, produced in a joint branding venture with General Mills, will hit store shelves this month.

According to PTI (www.solae.com), the company will work with food manufacturers to develop products that incorporate PTI's Solae soy protein and carry the logo on their packaging. PTI will provide marketing support for the Solae mark. "Our key partners in the Solae branding program will be able to differentiate their products in the increasingly crowded field of healthy products," said StephanTanda, president of PTI.
