AHPA Releases FDA Inspection Guidance

SILVER SPRING, Md.TheAmerican Herbal Products Association (AHPA) completed its publication, Guidancefor Addressing FDA Inspections of Dietary Supplement Facilities. The association developed the product to help companiesunderstand their rights and obligations when the Food and Drug Administration(FDA) inspects dietary supplement/nutraceutical operations. AHPAs guidancedocument includes four sections covering FDAs inspection authority, advancepreparation tips, expectations for an inspection, and follow-up records andfindings. It also includes a standard operating procedure (SOP) template forcompanies to customize when developing written SOPs for FDA inspections. Thecost is $110 for AHPA members and $195 for non-members.
