AIBMR Launches Program on Nutrilearn.com

TACOMA, Wash., & PHOENIXAIBMRLife Sciences Inc. launched the AIBMR Dietary Supplement Regulatory ComplianceCourse through Nutrilearn.com, operated by Virgo Publishings NationalTraining Institute (NTI). The program is designed to provide a working knowledgeof federal regulations for dietary supplements under the Dietary SupplementHealth & Education Act (DSHEA).

Anyone who manufactures, markets or distributes dietarysupplements should understand the requirements of DSHEA, said Alex Schauss,Ph.D., director of natural and medicinal products research at AIBMR(www.aibmr.com). The law has many facts that apply to claims, labeling, newingredient notification and other key requirements.

The training program covers the definition of the term dietarysupplement, explains the various types of claims, defines and sets parametersfor use of third-party literature, and explains requirements for new dietaryingredients. Individuals can take the course online to earn a Certificate ofCompletion from AIBMR and NTI.
