FDA Reminder About Bioterrorism Provisions
BETHESDA, Md.The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and U.S. Customsare urging facilities to implement provisions covered under the Public HealthSecurity Bioterrorism Preparedness and Response Act of 2002. FDA reported onlyhalf of the food facilities the agency expected to register have done so. Inaddition, food shipments are arriving at U.S. ports without the requisitesubmission of prior notice to FDA.
