HOMEWOOD, ILRussell S. Flowers, Ph.D., C.E.O. and president, Silliker Group Corp. (SGC), announced the appointment of Philippe Sans, senior corporate vice president of bioMérieux, as the organizations new C.E.O. Flowers was promoted to chairman of the Board and chief scientific officer (C.S.O.) by the SGC board of directors. Both appointments are effective Jan. 1, 2007.

As part of our ongoing global expansion, I am pleased to welcome Philippe to the Silliker organization, Flowers said. With over 22 years of experience in industrial microbiology, he brings an outstanding portfolio of international expertise and innovative leadership to his new role.
