Health Canada Issues Warning on Synephrine Supplement
OTTAWAHealth Canada(www.hc-sc.gc.ca) issued a warning in late May, advising consumers not to usethe product Thermonex, a dietary supplement containing synephrine.
According to Health Canada, the product can cause seriousadverse events, including death, and the agency issued a customs alert toprevent the product from entering the country. The maker of Thermonex, BSN Inc.(dba Bio-Engineered Supplements) is a Boca Raton, Fla., dietary supplementmaker.
