Informed-Choice Launches Blog

LAKE WYLIE, S.C.Informed-Choice LLC launched a blog Web site (TrustedSupplement.com) as a resource for athletes, coaches and parents to share information on dietary supplements. Informed-Choice made headlines in USA Today in December with a report alleging a quarter of sports supplements tested positive for illegal steroids and stimulants. (For the story, click here.)

According to Informed-Choice, the blog is designed to offer news and industry insight, with guest commentary from nutritionists, physicians, academics and supplement manufacturers. While the organization is creating the initial content, it hopes users will add commentary to increase its value to the athletic and supplement community. Informed-Choice was built on the foundation of partnership, said Kelly Hoffman, executive director, Informed-Choice. The Trusted Supplement blog provides an open forum for all interested parties to join in discussions on supplements and how to use them safely and legally to enhance athletic performance.
