Frutarom Health BU Introduced NutraT, an instant drink powder that dissolves easily in water, soft drinks and dairy products. The all-natural antioxidants line will be launched at Vitafoods Europe in Geneva. The four mixes include OliveT, CynaxT, RosT and CitroT; all four mixes are produced using sustainable sources, are heat stable at up to 70 degreesC and both kosher and halal certified.
Pereg added six new varieties to its line of gluten-free quinoa flour: almond flour, banana flour, buckwheat flour, chickpea flour, coconut flour and farro flour. All, except for farro, are gluten-free, all are 100-percent natural, non-dairy and certified kosher. They are packaged in 16-ounce resealable stay-fresh bags. Quinoa flour, almond flour, and coconut flour are kosher. Plant extracts significantly delay or prevent myoglobin oxidation, and as a result, lengthen shelf life. Vitamin C-rich acerola cherry extract powder from Kemin contains active molecules that help protect a variety of food and beverage products. Even though acerola is an effective color protector on its own, it also can be used in combination with other extracts, such as a blend of rosemary and green tea.
To help operators satisfy America’s growing interest in gelato, Dannon YoCream added two new flavors—Banana Flambé and Creamy Limoncello—to its line of soft-serve gelato frozen dairy dessert offerings. The initial three gelato flavors were launched in August 2015 and have become top sellers in the Dannon YoCream portfolio, which includes more than 75 products. The new flavors are.
Wixon showcased a sampling of some of the unique seasoning blends formulated by its research and development (R&D) team. Available for use in a variety of applications, the following are highlights of the newly created seasonings offered by Wixon: Thai Curry, Apple Kimchi, Rustic Handmade Lavash and Citrus Harvest.
Corbion Caravan launched an extensive program to remove the preservative spray commonly used in pre-soaked ancient and whole grains, while maintaining quality, taste and shelf life standards. The research and development effort has led to the reformulation of five super-soaked grain products that carry the cleaner, "no preservatives" label. Ricardo Moreira, product portfolio manager, says the new offerings include ingredients such as oat, oat flakes, sunflower, millet, flaxseed, amaranth, chia, cracked wheat, whole grain barley, whole rye kernels and quinoa.
BrandHive was retained by Coffee Blocks, the creator and manufacturer of an instant butter coffee beverage for active adults, to develop a brand story and messaging, as well as redesign their product packaging for a retail launch. The new packaging was previewed earlier this year and made available to retail customers nationwide in recent weeks.
Activ International announced the availability of a wide range of new high-impact grill flavors. These high-impact grill flavors provide customers with benefits such as a clear label and clean flavor profile. The range includes "Natural Flavor" Slow Cooked BBQ, (New Chef's Grill, organic available) or "Natural Flavor, Natural Smoke" Slow Cooked Southern BBQ (New Hickory Grill and New Mesquite Grill). All flavors are available in liquid or powder.
Bell Flavors & Fragrances recently expanded its line of dairy flavors with flavors ranging from cheese to butter, milk and sour cream flavors. A sample of cheese flavors available include aged Cheddar, feta, manchego, mozzarella, oaxacan, ricotta and toasted Parmesan. Profiles of these flavors include international varieties using different cheese-making processes and sources of milk, in addition to combinations using fresh herbs, honey and alcohol. Along with cheese flavors, the company remastered its dairy flavors ranging from rich crema, to freshly whipped butter, to evaporated milk.
