Nitta Gelatin Constructing New Plant
FAYETTEVILLE, N.C.Nitta Gelatin Inc. is investing $26 million to construct a new porcine gelatin plant here; Nitta Gelatin USA Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of Nitta Gelatin Inc., will own and operate the new facility. The operation is expected to be operational by the summer of 2006, and will have a 3,000-ton annual production capacity, supplying pharmaceutical and food grade gelatin to domestic and international companies.
In additional news, Nitta Gelatin (www.nitta-gelatin.co.jp) announced Cangel, a wholly owned subsidiary based in Toronto changed its name to Nitta Gelatin Canada Inc., effective Jan. 1, 2005.
