RFI Focuses on Organics, Divests Rosemary Business

BLAUVELT, N.Y.RFI Ingredients is refocusing its efforts in thefunctional food and nutraceutical markets on a core platform based on organicingredients. The companys RFI Ingredients business includes certified organicmanufacturing facilities in North America, South America and China producingproducts such as fruit/vegetable/botanical extracts, cereal grasses, OxyPhytenatural antioxidants and more.

As part of the business move, RFI sold its rosemary extract business toMamaroneck, N.Y.-based Naturex. Naturex has been active in the botanical/spiceextract market for many years, offering an array of liquid and powder extracts.Naturex also recently acquired Hausers manufacturing and application patents,technology and trademarks.
