Food & Health Specialties introducedtwo new food and health care ingredients: STEPAN® EDS and DREWPOL® 3-5-CC.STEPAN EDS is erythritol distearate available as a hard flake, with a uniquelyhigh melting point of 80° C. In addition, the products encapsulate form resists environmental breakdownof sensitive nutritional components, particularly those susceptible to oxidativedegradation. DREWPOL 3-5-CC is a polyglycerol ester derived from medium chain fatty acids,with a viscosity of 100 cP at 25° C and a freeze point of -40° C. DREWPOL3-5-CC can be used as a carrier of flavors, vitamins, essential oils and colors.Both STEPAN EDS and DREWPOL 3-5-CC are kosher certified, non- GMO (geneticallymodified organism) and free of trans fatty acids, as well as being stableto oxidation and free of taste and odor.
