Tomat-O-Red® Approved as Colorant

FAIRFIELD, N.J. The Food andDrug Administration (FDA) granted approval to LycoRed Ltd. for use of itsTomat-O-Red® natural tomato lycopene ingredient as a food colorant for foodsand beverages. Tomat-O-Red is readyto- use and stable under a wide range oftemperatures; in addition, the color does not shift with changes in pH, issuitable for use in a variety of food and beverage products, and provides healthbenefits, according to the company.
