Triarco Acquires Reed Corp.

WAYNE, N.J.--Ingredient supplier Triarco Industries Inc. acquired Reed Corp. in Pompton Plains, N.J., in early September for an undisclosed amount. Reed Corp. was founded in 1989 and is an FDA-approved blending and granulation facility.

According to Rodger Rohde Jr., president of Triarco, the acquisition allows Triarco to expand its ability to provide ready-to-run ingredients. "It enables our customers to introduce ingredients immediately into the manufacturing process by accommodating their existing tablet, capsule or powder packaging capabilities," he said. Reed Corp. will operate as a wholly-owned subsidiary of Triarco and will continue to offer its services to third parties.
