USP, NSF, ConsumerLab Added to Quality Panel at SupplySide East

SECAUCUS, N.J.--Representatives from U.S. Pharmacopeia (USP), NSF International and ConsumerLab.com will join a panel examining industry quality initiatives during SupplySide East here. The session will be held May 9 from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. and also features speakers from the Consumer Healthcare Products Association (CHPA), American Herbal Products Association (AHPA) and Amway.

"The industry has several important quality initiatives underway, and all of them will be addressed at SupplySide East," said Jon Benninger, group publisher with Virgo Publishing, the Phoenix-based producer of the show.

In addition to this session, a panel discussion organized by AOAC International will address methods validation May 8 from 3:30 to 5 p.m. The session includes speakers from AOAC, the Food and Drug Administration (FDA), AHPA, CHPA, Covance Labs and Now Foods. SupplySide East will also include a presentation by John Foret, director of the Division of Compliance & Enforcement, Office of Nutritional Products, Labeling and Dietary Supplements, Center for Food Safety and Applied Nutrition, FDA.
