ALBANY, Wy.—Wyoming’s “Food Exemption Act” (House Enrolled Act 11), which was signed into law by Gov. Dave Fruedenthal this past Winter, will exempt food for “domestic home consumption” from sales and use taxes; dietary supplements, including vitamins, minerals, botanicals, amino acids and other substances used to enhance dietary health, are also up for exemption status. Items not included for tax exemption include alcoholic beverages, tobacco products and food prepared or sold through vending machines.
