ASTON, Pa.--NOLU Plastics has developed a split plastic bearing housingdesign featuring a split, self-aligning, self-lubricating spherical plasticball. This product will be used in filling and packaging applications incorrosive environments.

Unlike traditional steel ball bearings which require periodic lubrication andare prone to corrosion, the self-lubricating NOLU bearings are chemicallyresistant. By using the NOLU split housing, split bearing design for use inline-shaft applications, physical displacement and unwieldy shaft sections areeliminated. During MRO procedures, the two housing halves are simply unboltedand the bearing is inserted without the use of tools. Maintenance labor costsare reduced and product lifetime is extended.
