LeinerRecalls Product for Unsafe Packaging

CARSON,Calif.--In mid-March, Leiner Health Products issued a recall forNature's Valley Women's Formula Multivitamins due to not having child resistantcaps. Approximately 14,000 bottles were affected, although those sold sinceFebruary now have child resistant tops. According to a release from the U.S.Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) (www.cpsc.gov),the iron-containing supplements were not packaged as required under the PoisonPrevention Packaging Act.

Todate, no injuries have been reported to either Leiner or CPSC. The companyposted the recall on its Web site for lot numbers 1FA2750 and 1FA2751.
