BILLINGS, Mont.Chondroitin sulfate is coming under the microscope for possible counterfeiting and adulteration, according to Jeff Golini, president of All American Pharmaceutical (AAP), and the company is urging suppliers and manufacturers to pay close attention to the material. Of greatest concern, he said, is the substitution of shark cartilage-sourced chondroitin with that of other animals.

Golini noted AAP assures the quality of its chondroitin through in-house testing. The chondroitin we supply is pure, potent, clean, and up to specifications, he said. This can be determined by using our BOM Cluster Analysis Technique utilizing a Bran+Lubee Infraprover II FTNIR.  We can determine the origin of any naturally occurring material and can guarantee that our chondroitin is clean and the source it comes from.
