LONDONEau Plus introduced a new superfood ingredient made from sustainably grown algae grown in special salt water tanksVPURE® and OmegaH2O® algae oils, which have more long-chain omega-3 essential fats  Docosahexaenoic acid (DHA) and Eicosapentaenoic acid (EPA) than fish oil.

The fortified and functional food and drink market is about to experience a massive shift in nutritional functionality and demand as mainstream food manufacturers seize on a new hig- tech generation of ingredients said Tom Brudenell Bruce CEO of London based Eau Plus.

The algal concentrations currently available are:

  • 60 percent DHA oil for nutraceutical purposes

  • 40 percent DHA oil micronized for dispersion as a liquid into water, milk, juices with a shelf life of longer than six months

  • A 15 percent to20 percent EPA oil micronized for dispersion into water, milk and juices

Eau Plus omega oils work well in baked products and pasta; ice cream and desserts; juices, drinks and dairy products such as pro-biotic yoghurts; ready meals; sauces and mayonnaise.
