Rousselot Appoints Global Nutrition Manager, Expands R&D

SON, NetherlandsRousselot® appointed Janne Prawitt, Ph.D., as its global nutrition manager to enhance product innovation and claim support for the company's ranges of gelatines and collagen peptides, representing the latest in a series of investments in the companys global research and development and application capabilities.
With experience in nutritional science, Prawitt will work within Rousselots research and development group to increase the companys research output and ability to support customers in new product development and claim declarations. Her responsibilities will include building further on the scientific evidence demonstrating the efficacy of the Peptan® collagen peptides portfolio, as well as expanding Rousselots wider research activities in key fields of human health and nutrition.

"The appointment of Janne as Global Nutrition Manager will help us further increase our research activities, boost innovation, and extent our position in the field of human health and nutrition science."
Prior to her new position, Prawitt was a post-doctoral researcher at the Institut Pasteur de Lille, France. She received a Ph.D. in Biology from the University of Hamburgs Institute for Biochemistry and Molecular Cell Biology in 2006, and previously worked in a post-doctoral capacity at the University Medical Center, Hamburg-Eppendorf, Germany.
Earlier this year, Villaume Kal was appointed president of the Rousselot business unit.
