OAK BROOK, Ill.In an effort to provide more value-priced alternatives to QSR patrons, McDonalds has introduced its new McMini chicken sandwiches, available in Spicy Thai or Pesto, crispy or grilled, all across Canada. The snack-sized sandwiches come on a small bakery-style baguette, feature all-white chicken breast, and sell for C$1.99.

The McMini was originally released in Quebec during late 2009 as a limited-time offer. However, it hit the full-time menu in all of Canada because itperformed extremely well, and speaks to more menu variety and more options in terms of sizing at a great value," notes Louis Payette, national media relations manager, McDonalds Corporation.

The associated advertising campaign features men performing small, polite, kind gestures for their companionse.g., helping her out of a car or leaving a little note in her pursehighlighting a message that little things matter. Payette notes that a primary target consumer for the McMini is women looking for a snack or a smaller meal option.
