NORTHBROOK, Ill.Bell Flavors & Fragrances released its 2010 Top 10 flavors by category list for three specific markets categoriessweet, savory and beverage. Bacon takes the No.1 flavor spot for product development in 2010.

The Top 10 flavor lists are tabulated by tracking samples that have been requested over a 12-month period, trend scouting by marketing and R&D departments from four continents, and compiling flavor trends from our external resources and suppliers, market research and  media.

The Top 10 Sweet Flavors include honey, milk chocolate, rose, chocolate with bacon, Ellison orange apple, golden russet, pomelo, chili, sea buckthorn and aronia.

The Top 10 Savory Flavors include bacon, sriracha, rich umami, brown butter, black garlic, saffron, tasso, aji Amarillo, zaatar and thai green curry.

The Top 10 Beverage Flavors include coconut water, hibiscus, Peppadew®, yumberry, chamomile, lavender, jasmine, cupuacu, aloe vera and cucumber.
