AUSTIN, Texas—The hills of Texas are getting a little greener, as the American Botanical Council (ABC) prepares to add an Ayurvedic Herbal Garden at its Case Mill Homestead location here. With start-up funding from Nature’s Formulary LLC and Organix-South Inc., the garden will include a number of key Ayurvedic botanicals, and be the newest addition to ABC’s herbal theme gardens, used to help further teaching about medicinal plants. Ayurveda is one of the world’s oldest systems of traditional healing; commonly used Ayurvedic herbs include ginger, turmeric, neem and Ashwagandha.
