Aceto Corp. Acquires Schweizerhall's Distribution Business

LAKE SUCCESS, N.Y.--Aceto Corp. has purchased the distribution business of the Schweizerhall Pharma division of Schweizerhall Holding AG in Basel, Switzerland. The purchase price of approximately $25 million includes 600,000 shares of Aceto's common stock, approximately 10 percent of current outstanding shares. The acquisition is expected to add annual sales of $90 millionto Aceto.
The acquisition does not include, nor have any interest in, the Schweizerhall Development Co. or Manufacturing Co. in Greenville, S.C., nor Chemische Fabrik Schweizerhall AG in Basel.
