ADAM Acquires Integrative Medicine Communications

ATLANTA--ADAM Inc., a developer of interactive consumer healthinformation, acquired Integrative Medicine Communications, a provider ofscience-based information on wellness and alternative medicine to health careprofessionals. Under terms of the transaction, ADAM (www.adamcorp.com)issued 470,000 shares of its common stock for the outstanding shares ofIntegrative Medicine. ADAM expects the acquisition to be accretive to earningsin 2002.

"The technology and intellectual property assets Integrative hasdeveloped are widely considered to be the finest in the industry," saidRobert Cramer Jr., ADAM's chairman and chief executive officer. "We expectto capitalize on Integrative's brand in the large and growing area ofcomplementary and alternative medicine [CAM]."
