AHPA Elects New Board Members, Officers

SILVER SPRING, Md.—The American Herbal Products Association (AHPA) announced its membership elected eight new members to the Board of Trustees, and the board re-elected its current officers to serve an additional term. The board members selected as officers are: chairman, Edward J. Fletcher, Strategic Sourcing; vice chair, Monzur Ahmed, Neways International; secretary, Katie Huggins, Traditional Medicinals; and treasurer, Mitch Coven, Vitality Works.

Joining in the vote for the officers were the eight newly elected board members: Cindy Angerhoffer, Aveda Corp; Rupa Das, BI Nutraceuticals; Daniel Gagnon, Herbs Etc.; Jackie Greenfield, Gaia Herbs; Richard Kaufman, Paragon Laboratories; Wilson Lau, Nuherbs Co.; Tom Newmark, New Chapter Inc.; and Volker Wypyszyk, MB North America. They join the existing board members: Henry Chin, The Coca-Cola Co.; Edward Croom, Ph.D., Indena USA; Staci Eisner, PlusPharma Inc.; Lyra Heller, Metagenics Inc.; Sara Katz, Herb Pharm; William Keller, Ph.D., Nature’s Sunshine Products; Beth Lambert, Herbalist & Alchemist; Michael Lelah, NOW Foods; Matt Redd, A.M. Todd Co.; Dave Sullivan, GNC; Greg Tilford, Animal Essentials Inc.; Gordon Walker, Nature’s Way Products; and Kay Wright, Hain Celestial.
