BOULDER, Colo.—ASD Inc. (ASDI.com; formerly Analytical Spectral Devices) received the Governor’s Award for Excellence in Exporting, in an announcement made by Governor Bill Ritter. Award presentations were made at the World Trade Day breakfast held on May 1, 2008, at the Grand Hyatt in downtown Denver. ASD Inc. was honored in the small manufacturing company category. The award honors Colorado companies that have made significant contributions to exporting during the past year, and has been presented annually since 1970.“The first system ASD ever sold was purchased by a university in The Netherlands,” said Dave Rzasa, President and CEO of ASD. “Export sales were 79 percent of our total revenue for 2007, and our international sales have grown consistently each year, so we look forward to high export numbers again in 2008.”
