Berlin Packaging Recertified ISO 9001

CHICAGOBerlin Packaging LLC was recertified to the ISO 9001:2008 standard from Perry Johnson Registrar; the company was originally certified in 2004. ISO 9001-certified organizations must adhere to its demanding audit requirements and maintain strict process and document controls.

For almost seven consecutive years, Berlin Packaging has had a monthly 99 percent or higher on-time delivery of its warehouse shipments and 25 months of 99 percent or higher on-spec product quality. The organization developed its own quality metric called Positive Income Impact, which  is highlighted during semi-annual strategic planning presentations with select customers. The company reports 2010 yielded $56.9 million of net income generated by customers because of Berlin Packaging.

Berlin Packaging's systems and practices have garnered various awards, including CIO Magazine's "Top 100 Innovators" award. This achievement further distinguishes Berlin Packaging as a Hybrid Packaging Supplier, bringing together manufacturers, distributors and service providers.
