Butter Buds Achieves Excellent SQF Rating

RACINE, Wisc.Butter Buds Food Ingredients (BBFI) received an Excellent" rating as a result of its recent audit under the Safe Quality Foods (SQF) Program.

"Having SQF certification does indeed put us a step ahead of the competition," says Tom Buhler, BBFI's Director of Business Development.  "The certification allows Butter Buds to join the worlds top food companies in satisfying the rigorous demands of SQF, and brings Butter Buds one step closer to world-class status in Quality Assurance."

The SQF Program is recognized by the Global Food Safety Initiative (GFSI) and links primary production certification to food manufacturing, distribution and agent/broker management certification. Administered by the Food Marketing Institute (FMI), SQF obtains continual retailer feedback about consumer concerns. This feedback is passed on to SQF certified suppliers.
