Colloides + Bio Serae = Nexira

ROUEN, FranceIranex groupe has announced that on Nov. 7, 2011 its two companies, Bio Serae Laboratories and Colloïdes Naturels International (CNI), will merge into one operating entity, called Nexira. The new company will maintain three divisionhealth, food and technologyand will offer a range of services, from raw materials sourcing and proprietary processing technologies to formulation support. In addition to its core product, acacia gum, Nexira will offer a wide range of natural ingredients and extracts including emulsifiers, texturizing agents and actives for various health conditions.

Nexira has revenues of 83M Euros ($114M USD), almost all of which come from exports, and is estimating 2015 revenues at 120M Euros ($165M USD). The company has business in 80 countries and has 10 distribution subsidiaries and eight production plants worldwide. The company is investing millions of euros in its French facilities over the next couple of years, and has plans invest similar amounts in beef up its presence in India and Africa. Further, Nexira said it wants to acquire companies in both North America and Europe in 2012 and 2013, respectively.
