ZURICHDKSHs Business Unit Performance Materials has commissioned two new innovation centers, one in Taiwan and other in Bangkok, to cater to the growing needs of clients and customers in the confectionary and bakery as well as the coatings industries.

The Taiwan center will focus on introducing new concepts and ingredients to the confectionary and bakery industry. The facility will deepen the company's sweet applications expertise and develop innovative business strategies for clients and customers. The new Taipei facility allows DKSH to work closely with partners in Taiwan to anticipate trends within the industry.

The Bangkok center will concentrate on the development and innovation applications solutions for the coatings industry in Southeast Asia. The main functions of this center include product evaluation, physical and chemical testing and training of customers and company sales personnel.

DKSH aims to help companies and brands grow business in new or existing markets, focusing on Asia. In January 2011, the company expanded its chocolate distribution in Asia by announcing two new marketing and distribution agreements.
