DNP CFO Talks Trade with China's VP

SANTA FE SPRINGS, Calif.Sherry Wang, CFO, DNP International, represented the company at the Economic Trade Forum during China's Vice President Xi Jinping  recent visit to the United States, where the main topic of discussion was trade between the two countries.

During the forum, Xi said that mutual benefit has been "the most salient" feature of China-U.S. economic and trade cooperation."Both China and the United States are winners. This is a truly win-win situation," the Vice President said.

Southern Californias deep economic and cultural ties to China is taking a significant step forward today with the landmark visit by Xi," Wang said."His high-level visit to our region is the first to Los Angeles by a high-level Chinese official in 13 years, and it holds an immense relationship-building opportunity for accelerating our already strong trade, tourism, entertainment and investment ties."

 The Los Angeles Customs District handles about 40 percent of total U.S. trade with China. China was the Districts largest trading partner in 2009, with a total two-way trade valued at $155.3B. The growing trend helps DNP business as well," said David Ji, president, DNP, adding last year, the company's imports from China increased by 50 percent.

Xi has been China's Vice President since 2008 and is broadly expected to be President of China in 2013. Xi's trip has drawn intense interest, especially the tour in Los Angeles.

The forum took place on Feb, 17, 2012, and was attended by Governor Jerry Brown, Commerce Secretary John Bryson, LA Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa.

DNP International recently named Jim Schultz its chief operating officer to manage and oversee operations, sales and marketing, administration, regulatory affairs and purchasing in both China and the United States.
