Dow AgroSciences Donates $75,000 to Tornado Disaster Relief

INDIANAPOLISDow AgroSciences, through The Dow Chemical Company Foundation, donated $75,000 to the American Red Cross for relief efforts in response to the deadly tornadoes that caused more than $1.5 billion in damage and killed 40 people in the Midwest in early March. The company also announced it will match 100% of employee contributions up to $10,000.

More than 132 tornadoes were reported in the span of just two days. Indiana, where Dow AgroSciences is headquartered, reported a some of the heaviest damage and casualties.

In our business, weather is critical," said Dow AgroSciences President and CEO  Antonio Galindez. But in times like this, we are reminded that it is personal. As an organization, this gift is one way in which we are able to lend help to those who need it most."

Dow AgroSciences and its parent, The Dow Chemical Company, have provided emergency relief support in the past through the American Red Cross. Galindez said that the decision to make this most recent donation was reinforced by support from Dow AgroSciences employees.
