DSM Raises Prices on Fat-Soluble Vitamins

KAISERAUGST, SwitzerlandDSM Nutritional Products announced a global price increase for all fat-soluble vitamins. The increase, effective immediately for all newly contracted business, will apply across the human nutrition, food and personal care industries and will amount to a minimum of 10 percent. DSM had previously announced price increases on vitamins E and A; the new increases apply across the companys portfolio, including K1, natural source vitamin E, mixed tocopherols and vitamin D3. According to the company, the price increases were necessary to account for higher costs for raw materials, energy and transportation, as well as increased customer demand for DSMs vitamin ingredients.
