DSM Wins Human Nutrition Innovation Award

KAISERAUGST, SwitzerlandDSM China Ltd. won the Nutrition Innovation Gold Award in recognition of its contribution to nutritional science by enhancing and improving human nutrition and the support it offers to the academic community in product development and applications.

The award was issued by the Chinese Nutrition Society (CNS) and presented at the 11th CNS National Conference to inspire more corporations to make bigger contributions in the research and development of nutrition and health products in China. It's a reflection of promoting science in economic development as proposed at the Eighth Congress of the Chinese Association for Science and Technology in 2011 and targets to combine academic research and industrial development to promote innovation.

The company also was recognized for its contribution to providing innovative nutritional solutions to meet the needs of specific groups, cooperating with various government and non-governmental organizations (NGOs).

The company has been involved in promoting nutritional research and networking in the Chinese academic community since the 1990s. The DSM CNS Research Foundation was established in 2011. In 2008 DSM earned the GAIN Business Award for Innovation in Nutrition.
