BEIJINGChina's consumer goods industry is booming, with e-commerce leading the way, according to a new report by the U.S.-China Health Products Association (USCHPA). From January to September, consumer good sales reached US$2.4 trillion, and increased 14 percent compared to the previous year.

USCHPA's 12-page report investigates the growing segment of Internet sales in China. The country has the largest electronically connected consumer base in the world, and natural products should tap into these e-retailers.

The non-profit organization helps companies enter the Chinese marketplace, in addition to lobbying for a transparent regulatory system. Nature's Only joined the non-profit's board in early October, and Aker is the association's most recent member.
