CHICAGOIn addition to traditional hot dogs and hamburgers, Americans will chow down on fresh fruit and potato chips during Fourth of July celebrations.
According to the NPD Groups SnackTrack report, bananas are the top fresh fruit consumed followed by apples, watermelon and strawberries. Other snack foods among the top 10 that are eaten more heavily on Independence Day are potato chips, tortilla chips, donuts, salsa, dips and chewy candy.
