Frutarom Acquires East Anglian Food Ingredients

KORNTAL-MÜNCHINGEN, GermanyFrutarom acquired East Anglian Food Ingredients Ltd. (EAFI), a UK company that specializes in flavors, spices and functional ingredients for meat, fish and convenience products. This acquisition, combined with the Dec. 2010 acquisition of the Industrial Spices business of Rieber & Son ASA, is part of Frutaroms plan to strengthen its Savory Solutions business unit.

According to Frutarom, Both EAFI and Riebers Industrial Spices business provide comprehensive portfolios of high-quality products, state-of-the-art technologies and corresponding expertise. Additionally, the businesses have extensive and established costumer bases in the UK and Scandinavia respectively."

The company has noted that changing lifestyles and dietary habits has increased consumer demand for savory snacks and convenience products, and Frutarom has been developing its Savory Solutions division accordingly.
