TWIN FALLS, IdahoGlanbia Foods broke ground on the construction of a $15-million state-of-the-art Cheese Innovation Center (CIC) and corporate headquarters that will support the companys growing export and new cheese product innovation efforts. The new facility, which includes 35,000-square-foot office complex and 14,000-square-foot research center, is slated to open in Spring 2013.

The CIC also will help streamline work needed to move products from pilot-plant scale to full-scale production.

This new Glanbia complex will serve as the bridge to our future."

The global cheese manufacturing sector is estimated to reach $55.3 billion in 2012, with the United States leading the market as the world's single-largest cheese producer, followed by Germany, France and Italy.
