Klockner Pentaplast Purchases Vinyl Producer

GORDONSVILLE, Va.--Klockner Pentaplast of America purchased Argentina-based ARCOR'srigid vinyl calendering operation. The purchase increases the ease of global sourcing forKlockner by making ARCOR's facilities and expertise readily available for use inpharmaceutical and general-purpose packaging and technical applications.

ARCOR's name will be changed to Klockner Pentaplast de Argentina S.A. ARCOR'smanagement, including commercial director Hector Pace and plant manager Jorge Camano, willretain their positions. However, Klockner has appointed Shawn Somerday, the former plantmanager of its Gordonsville facility, as the vice president and general manager ofKlockner Pentaplast de Argentina.
