DERRY, N.H.MegaFood received the certified kosher by OK Kosher Certification, making it one of the first whole food supplement product lines to receive the certification worldwide.

The 78-year-old OK Kosher Certification Circle K symbol is used by more than 12 million consumers that purchase kosher products in the United States. The symbol identifies that products are made without meat, diary or any derivatives of those foods.

In 2007, MegaFood began the reformulation process of its product ingredients to prepare for the OK Kosher Certification. In September, 95 percent of MegaFoods' whole food supplement line will carry the OK Kosher Certification Circle K seal.

"We will be coming to MegaFood once a month to keep an eye on the products," said Rabbi Levi Krinsky, representative for OK Kosher Certification. "MegaFood has established a high standard by incorporating the Circle K seal on their products."
